Support Us

You make it happen!

As a not-for-profit organization providing support for under-represented, independent artists and companies, our work is only possible because of donors like you.

Your donation not only allows marginalized, relevant, emerging voices to be seen on our stages, it allows us to offer additional programs to emerging artists free of charge. It also helps us with welcoming all audience members within our walls by offering engaging community programs, keeping our ticket prices accessible, and offering accessibility initiatives that remove barriers for specific communities  (d/Deaf/Hard-of-hearing, Blind/Low vision and Neuro-diverse) to come and enjoy live theatre.

Theatre Passe Muraille is a registered Canadian Charity #11921 4344 RR00001

Here are just a few ways your support helps:

Help Theatre Passe Muraille invest more funds and resources into new play development, including our BUZZ series.
Over the past 50 years TPM has:
• premiered over 600 new works
• won 45 Dora Mavor Moore Awards
• received 9 Chalmers Canadian Play Awards, 3 Silver Ticket Awards, 3 George Luscombe Awards

We provide open & free opportunities for young and emerging artists to interact with the theatre through a variety of programs – a fresh approach ensuring that we meet people early in their career and that we are providing support to those who most need it.  We are proud to report that several examples of work have traveled through our emerging artist programs (After Hours at TPM, Pitch Andy, Elephants in the Room Creation Group, The Buzz Festival, and BUZZ series) have ended up in our regular production season!

TPM also recently donated our used lighting equipment to other theatres in need, and regularly offers free space and rehearsal time to our resident artists, companies and the Paprika Festival.

We’ve made great improvements to our theatre spaces & shop, allowing other companies to use our space to build, design and present their own work at very accessible rates.

Relationships are at the core of our work at TPM and we offer free programming to increase audience participation, dialogue and community connections.  These programs include:  Q&A Sessions, Preamble (formerly Egg Rolls With Andy), and our Accessible Performances (Relaxed, ASL, Audio Described).

Though our ticket prices cover only a small fraction of the true cost of creating great theatre, keeping our productions accessible to everyone is so important to us.  In addition to weekly Pay-What-You-Can performances, we also offer discounted senior, arts worker & under 30 tickets to all of our productions.
