Mandate & Vision

Mandate

Theatre Passe Muraille is mandated to develop and produce innovative and provocative Canadian Theatre, and to nurture new and established artists and companies.

Artistic Vision Statement

Theatre Passe Muraille is home to a repertoire of work that is inclusive, eclectic and representative of our city. We are an active part of our community.

As an institution we are committed to listening – to our staff, the artists, the audience, our collaborators, and the community.

We are creating new collaborative models for the myriad of relationships between independent artist & institutions. We collaborate with other companies in order to achieve our vision and values. We empower artists in the creation and dissemination of their work out into the world.

We are as interested in developing audiences, artists, and companies as we are in developing plays. We champion diversity of practice. We take chances and value risk as highly as success.
