Are you interested in connecting with TPM for yourself or your students? Contact education@passemuraille.on.ca to find out more about how you might share our work in your community or simply to be added to our Educator Mailing List.
Theatre Passe Muraille is committed to providing Educational links and resources for all of our productions. Where possible, we encourage educators and students to see our work as a look into contemporary Canadian theatre history—the makings of theatre that will define this time. We regularly host Evenings for Education, where educators get a chance to mix and mingle with each other and with Artistic Director Andy McKim. We also offer free in-class workshops (subject to availability) to help contextualize our productions for students and teachers alike.
If you are interested in bringing your students to a TPM production, please call 416.504.8988, ext. 2144 for more information.
Etobicoke School of the Arts, Earl Haig Secondary, Monarch Park Collegiate, Bloor Collegiate and Greenwood College will converge at Theatre Passe Muraille for one week of intense theatre creation. Student Creation Week is all about inspiring students to think creatively and collectively, starting off their year with a new project tied directly to all levels of the secondary drama curriculum. Classes (and teachers) will spend one week developing a new piece of theatre, created as a collective.
Each class will receive a professional artist mentor, someone who will guide them throughout their week of creation, as well as at least two other workshops from artists with varying backgrounds. The week will end with a public presentation of all six pieces in the Theatre Passe Muraille Mainspace on September 30 at 7pm and 9pm. Admission is PWYC.
