Crapshoot is an event for emerging artists in the early stages of their careers. It is held approximately three times each season on a Friday night, as part of After Hours @ TPM. Artists of different disciplines are selected and given five minutes to perform on our Cabaret Stage. At the end of each night the audience votes for their favourite performance and that artist/group is invited to perform for twenty minutes at the next Crapshoot.

CRAPSHOOT! Auditions

We are now accepting submissions for our next CRAPSHOOT! on June 1st, 2012! If you don’t know, ‘Crapshoot’ is an evening of late-night, rapid-fire performances featuring new work by some of the best of Toronto’s up-and-coming talent, complete with a ticking clock and obnoxiously loud buzzer! Our carefully selected artists, will all grace the stage in a random order, as selected by the audience during the show.

Each group/performer will have a total of 5 minutes on stage to try out a new work in front of a lively audience willing to take a gregarious gamble. The audience will decide who will have a longer-than-five-minute time slot in our next Crapshoot!

We welcome actors, directors, writers, musicians, comedians, dancers, producers, visual artists and anyone who rolls over the boundaries between these roles. Our evenings are typically put together with a variance in mind, so ante up and go all in!
