Andy McKim – Artistic Director
Andy McKim has been the TPM Artistic Director since June 2007. He is a nationally renowned director and dramaturge who has worked in theatre for over 30 years. He has spent most of his professional life developing, dramaturging and directing new Canadian plays. Early in his career he worked in PEI, in Halifax at Neptune Theatre, in London (UK), but the bulk of his career has been in Toronto where from 1985 to 2007 he was the Associate Artistic Director at Tarragon Theatre. Andy has directed more than 50 different productions. Nearly all of them were world premieres. Most outstanding amongst them is 2 PIANOS, 4 HANDS . He sat on the Dora Awards Board, the Toronto Theatre Alliance Board (TTA), served as the TTA President, sat on the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) board and served as the PACT President. Andy has taught in a variety of contexts and is serving on the Theatre Department Advisory of both Sheridan and Humber Colleges. He has also received the George Luscombe Award for mentorship.

Kendra Fry – General Manager
General Manager Kendra Fry has been a General Manager for the past seven years, working mostly in Toronto. She has formerly been the General Manager of the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company and Cahoots Theatre Projects and the Business Manager of the Theatre Centre. She began her career as a s a Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager working for companies as various as Tarragon Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Pleiades Theatre, The Blyth Festival Theatre, Red Red Rose Theatre and the Canadian Opera Company. Kendra is an active volunteer with the Professional Association of Canadian Theatre. In her spare time, she is the mother of a very active four year old.

Rob Kempson – Associate Artistic Producer
Rob is an arts educator, playwright/composer, performer and producer. A graduate of Queen’s University, Rob holds a BAH in Drama and Music as well as a Bachelor of Education in Artist in Community Education. He comes to TPM after spending almost three years as the Education Manager at Canadian Stage, and is currently the Artistic Producer of the Paprika Festival. As an arts educator, Rob has taught for the Toronto District School Board, the Toronto Catholic District School Board, the Limestone District School Board, Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People, Pleaides Theatre, Theatre Kingston and Canadian Stage. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Professional Arts Organizations Network for Education (PAONE). As a composer/playwright, Rob’s work include:Spadina to Main (Queen’s University), Ike and Pearl: A New Canadian Musical (Toronto Fringe), Shutter (New Ideas Festival). His song cycle Giant is currently in development and has been seen in excerpts at the Buzz Festival (TPM), Festival of Ideas and Creation (Canadian Stage) and the HOTscrawls Festival (TheatreKairos). Performance highlights include: Dennis Cleveland(LuminaTO Festival) and Giant(Buzz Festival). He is currently collaborating with Briana Brown and go go go productions on a new solo project.

Jenn Sartor – Associate Producer of Patron Services
Jenn is exceedingly excited to be stepping into the role of Associate Producer of Patron Services here at TPM. After graduating from the joint Theatre and Drama Studies program at U of T and Sheridan College, Jenn has been working at TPM as a Patron Services Associate and Volunteer Coordinator. In her spare time Jenn works as an actor, takes classes of all sorts and makes pancakes. Jenn would like to send love out to all of our amazing volunteers and patrons who make her work easy!

Ryan McDougall – Production Manager
Graduated from the Fanshawe College Technical Theatre program in 2004 and began as a stage carpenter at Blyth Festival. From there his contacts led him to engage in a nine month Production Management apprenticeship at Opera Atelier where he was Technical Director for four productions at the Elgin Wintergarden Theatre. During this period Ryan acted as a freelance Production Manager for theatre companies all over Toronto including Pleiades Theatre Company, Theatre Passe Muraille, Platform 9, Theatrefront, Drunk and Brilliant, among others. Continuing as a freelancer he started taking calls as the Backspace Technician at Theatre Passe Muraille. From there he moved to the Mainspace Op/TD position mounting two seasons worth of productions before becoming Theatre Passe Muraille’s Production Manager in November of 2007.

Heather Ervin – Associate Producer of Marketing and Publicity
Heather hails from the golden fields and open skies of Saskatchewan and is thrilled start her third season for TPM. She owes her artistic interests to her family, specifically her parents for taking her to plays, and her brothers for not letting her play with them, forcing her to imagine another world in which to play. Heather is a graduate of the joint Theatre and Drama Studies program at U of T and Sheridan. If Heather were a fruit, she would be a peach because she bruises easily.

Petra Chevier – Financial Manager
Petra Chevrier has worked as an administrator/financial manager in the arts and culture sector since 1992, when she began working for an arts service organization in Toronto. She was the Managing Editor of FUSE Magazine from 1995 to 1999, and subsequently worked as Senior Project Manager at Bruce Mau Design, and as the Executive Director of the Images Festival (an annual Toronto film and video festival devoted to independent and experimental film) from 2003 to 2005. Currently, besides working as Financial Manager at Theatre Passe Muraille, she maintains a connection with the film world, working with artists on special projects as film projector and installation technician.

Samantha Serles – Damaturge
Samantha is happiest when she is reading plays, watching plays, or talking about plays, so she is thrilled to have a job doing exactly that! Samantha has been working as a dramaturg at Theatre Passe Muraille since 2009. A graduate of York University, she holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre. Samantha is a member of Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of America.

Colin Harris – Backspace Coordinator
Colin loves theatre more than anything. He spends all of the time he can in the theatre, making this something of a dream job. He has a background doing regional theater at Red Barn and Drayton and attended the University of Guelph taking physics and, of course, theatre. In his free time he likes to juggle, play music and write about himself in 3rd person.
