Beth Kates and Ben Chaisson have been out in the field (literally) gathering source materials for the upcoming Toybox.  Toybox is an interactive, participatory art experience in which the audience gets to play with green screens, video, music, clay, papers, lego, etc to make their own art.

It’s going to be happening here  at Theatre Passe Muraille and here

and other destinations to be determined between September 12th and December 15th, 2012.

This week on Flickr, Beth and Ben have uploaded some arresting and unexpected images from around Toronto.  These images and video files will form the basis of the video content that’s available to participants although, to quote the team, the images will be enhanced in surprising ways.  The locations of the shoots were chosen for “beauty, fun or significance” to Toronto life.  Do you have images that are significant to your Toronto life? Post them to our facebook page and we’ll post our favourites here on the blog in the fall.
